Los Angeles Flying Club

Los Angeles Flying Club

Here at Eight Ball Flying Club, we have a long history as a reliable, fun and dedicated Los Angeles flying club. Our club dates back to 1954 when we began operating out of Van Nuys Airport. Today, we still work out of the same location, with four stellar aircraft housed there.

Each member of our Los Angeles flying club holds an equity share in the club, covered by the $3,500 initial buy-in fee. Monthly dues are then $160, making us one of the most affordable flying clubs in all of Los Angeles. We employ sound fiscal practices; currently, club assets exceed $100,000.

What to Expect from a Los Angeles Flying Club

As a member of Eight Ball Flying Club, you have access to use any of our four aircraft. We conduct all scheduling via our easy-to-use online system; members can reserve a particular aircraft well in advance of their desired flying dates. Our hourly rental rates are wet rates which include fuel costs.

In addition to airplane access, you’ll also be part of a dedicated group of pilots who love to fly. At our monthly meetings, you can expect a high level of camaraderie with members sharing stories and tips on their latest flying experiences. Members are all required to donate eight hours per year to aircraft maintenance work. During this time, you’ll become more familiar with the club’s aircraft, ensuring greater safety when you take them up.
